THE CANCELLED ART PARADE WIENER GIRLS WATERSKI THROUGH STREETS OF NEW YORK 2008 For the past 4 years, the prestigous Deitch Gallery of New York City generously hosts the Deitch Art Parade in Soho. Unfortunately, 2008's parade was postponed due to Hurrican Hanna. In the Wiener Girl Style, they performed their very own "Cancelled Art Parade." artXposium 2008 PART ONE: WIENER GIRLS RIDE THE RED CARPET PART TWO: WIENER GIRLS BODY DOUBLES For opening night at artXposium 2008, the Wiener Girls decided to do good for the community by gracing them with their celebrity presence. Of course, being celebrities, the Wiener Girls needed to separate themselves from their public, and thus set up a VIP red carpet area which only other "celebrities" were allowed to go on. If attendees of the show did not come inside the VIP area, the Wiener Girls would not talk to them, preferring only to talk to other important people. Once on the carpet, they talked about how hard it was to be famous, and other important issues. Unfortunately the papparrazzi stalked them, but thankfully for us, here are some of the publiicity photos, most lifted from the website of People Magazine. The show was up for the weekend, so the girls left "Body Doubles" to stand in their place. Participants were welcomed to walk into the Red Carpet Area and take photos with their "Body Doubles".
